The Human Camera Blog

Where this blog got it's name from...

So, the night when I decided to start a blog (sort of an effort to kill time)... I asked my wife, what should I call this blog. Many brilliant ideas came to mind. Then my wife took out her ODB... flip it to one of her recent readings and came up with the term "The Human Camera". I had a read of it... found it inspirational... exactly what I wanted this blog to do (for me) as a place where I can "bring to my remembrance" all the good, bad and neutral things in my life.

Extracted from ODB's website: "Steven Wiltshire, who has been called “the human camera,” has the amazing ability to recall tiny details about anything he has seen and then reproduce them in drawings. For example, after Steven was flown over the city of Rome, he was asked to draw the city center on blank paper. Astonishingly, he accurately reproduced from memory the winding streets, the buildings, the windows, and other details.

Wiltshire’s memory is remarkable. Yet there’s another kind of memory that’s even more amazing—and much more vital.
